If You've Read My Book, I Need a Tiny Favor

If you've read The Seeker's Lessons, I have a favor to ask.

Please leave a review.

Whether you bought the book online, picked it up directly from me at a book signing, borrowed it from someone, or somehow ended up with a copy through bookish witchcraft, I'd really appreciate it if you'd take a few minutes to put your thoughts about it somewhere other readers can see them.

And here's the funny part. Some of you have already given me the review.

You just gave it to me in person.

I've had some incredible conversations with people who have read The Seeker's Lessons. You've told me what resonated with you. You've told me what made you think differently about your own life. You've asked me questions. You've shared pieces of your own stories with me. I genuinely love those conversations, and I hope they never stop.

But now I'm asking you to please put some of that in writing, too. 😂

It doesn't have to be long. It doesn't have to be beautifully written. You don't need to analyze themes or dust off whatever your high school English teacher taught you about book reports. A couple of sentences about what you thought, what stayed with you, or how the book made you feel is enough.

Because I've learned something since becoming an independent author: reviews matter. A lot.

They help other readers decide whether a book might be for them. They help books get noticed. They help with visibility on websites driven by ratings, recommendations, reviews, and algorithms I only vaguely understand.

But I've also learned that your feedback can do something else.

It can shape what comes next.

The Seeker's Workbook exists because readers of The Seeker's Lessons asked me for more.

After the book came out, people talked to me about what it brought up for them. They asked questions. They wanted somewhere to go with those questions. They wanted more space to reflect, write, explore, and work through what they were discovering about themselves.

So I listened.

And I made the workbook.

That's something I don't think I've said enough. The workbook wasn't created because I sat down one morning and thought, You know what the world desperately needs? Another thing I can sell. 😂

It grew out of conversations with readers.

You asked for more.

So I gave you more.

That's why I'm asking you to keep talking to me.

Leave a review on my website. Leave one on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Goodreads, Books-A-Million, or wherever you normally talk about books. If you've already stood in front of me and told me what you thought, you've done the hard part. You already know what you want to say. I just need you to type that shit somewhere. 😂

And please understand, I'm not asking for five stars.

I'm asking for honesty.

You don't have to agree with everything I wrote. You don't have to experience the book the way someone else did. In fact, I'd rather know what actually resonated with you than have a collection of generic five-star reviews that don't tell anyone anything.

Tell people what you thought.

Tell them what stayed with you.

Tell them what made you think.

Tell them what pissed you off, if something pissed you off.

Tell them what you wanted more of. Apparently, I might turn it into another damn book. 😂

Independent authors don't have enormous marketing departments behind us. A lot of the time, what we have is one reader telling another reader, I read this. Here's what I thought.

That matters more than you probably realize.
