In about four and a half weeks, Quiet Cup Press will be setting up a table at Once Upon a Page Book and Story Convention.

Events like this always feel a little surreal.

Writing happens quietly most of the time. Coffee going cold beside the keyboard. Dogs wandering through the room. Long stretches where it is just me and the work.

A table at an author event is the opposite of that.

It is where the quiet work finally meets people.

At my last signing, the conversations surprised me.

People were not just asking what the book was about. They were curious about the process behind it.

Why did I write it?
How did I write it?
Why did it take so long?

Those are the kinds of questions that turn a quick stop at a table into an actual conversation.

And honestly, those conversations are my favorite part of these events.

I will be bringing copies of The Seeker’s Lessons and The Seeker’s Workbook, along with a few mug rugs, because Quiet Cup Press always seems to bring a little bit of cozy along with the books.

If you are attending Once Upon a Page this year, stop by and say hello.

I would love to meet you.
